Your privacy is important to us. We are committed to protect your privacy.
Job PairingTM is a job sharing platform for individuals, recruiters and employers. It provides services for matching professionals with other professionals, referred to as “job mates”, who want to share a job. It also provides services to match a pair of job mates with recruiters and employers. www.jobpairing.com is a site operated by Job Pairing LLC. This agreement is between you and Job Pairing LLC.
Our mission is to match professionals with other professionals with similar and/or complementary skills so they can pair up to share a job as well as match pairs of job mates with recruiters, employers and posted jobs. Central to this mission is our commitment to be transparent about the data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared.
Our registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities, engage with their network, exchange knowledge and professional insights, post and view relevant content, learn and find business and career opportunities together. Content and data is viewable to Members only. Personal and contact information is viewable to members who have mutually agreed to connect as potential job mates.
You provide data to create an account (to register) with us.
To create an account, you need to provide data including your name, email address, mobile number, and a password. If you register for a Recruiter or Employer Service, you will need to provide payment and billing information (e.g. credit card). You create your Job Pairing profile to register with us (a complete profile helps you get the most from our Services).
You have choices about the information on your profile, such as your work experience, the industry you are in, expertise and specialties, and city and state. You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, profile information helps you to get more from our Services, including helping recruiters and business opportunities find you.
Contact and personal information that you’ve provided in your profile will only be visible to those members whom you have mutually agreed to be connected with to explore forming a pair for job sharing opportunities. No part of your profile will be visible to any site visitors. No part of your profile data will be sold to or shared with advertisers.
We do not require members to include sensitive data (e.g. race, ethnicity, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union, physical or mental health, or sexual life) in their Job Pairing profile. If you choose to include any such data in your profile, for example in the “say something about yourself” section, understand that it will be visible to other members with whom you have mutually agreed to be connected.
We will only collect information that is directly applicable to the services we provide in order to optimize your experience with the service, find the closest professional matches with whom you can pair, or enable recruiters and employers to find you as closest matches for their job positions.
We collect personal data from you when you provide or upload it to our Services, such as when you fill out a form (e.g., job history, expertise, city or state), or upload a resume.
You don’t have to post or upload personal data; though if you don’t, it may limit your ability to grow and engage with your network over our Services to find close professional matches (job mates) to share a job with.
We log your visits and use of our Services. With regard to each of your visits to our site we will automatically collect the following data: the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about your visit including clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), products or templates you viewed or searched for, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). We do not currently honor “Do Not Track” signals.
The information we collect automatically is statistical data and may include personal information, or we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. It helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to estimate our audience size and usage patterns, store information about your preferences which allows us to customize our Services according to your individual interests, speed up your searches, and recognize you when you return to our Services.
Transparency - We will always tell you what data we're collecting about you and how we use it. We only share your data with trusted partners (for example recruiters and employers) and will never sell your data.
Security - We are committed to always follow industry best practices to ensure your data is stored safely and securely. We protect the confidentiality, accuracy and availability of the information we collect about you.
Control - We will always give you control over the marketing you receive from us. You can choose the types of messages you receive and whether you want to stop receiving marketing communications.
We receive data from your devices and networks. When you visit our site, we get information about your IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser, device identifier and features, and/or ISP or your mobile carrier. If you use our Services from a mobile device, that device will send us data about your location based on your phone settings. We do not use GPS or other tools to identify your precise location.
If you communicate through our Services, we learn about that. We collect information about you when you send, receive, or engage with other members in connection with our Services. For example, if you get a Job Pairing connection request, we track whether you have acted on it and will send you reminders.
We are improving our Services, which means we get new data and create new ways to use data.
We use your data to provide, support, personalize and develop our Services. We use your data to authorize access to our Services. Our Services help you connect with others, find and be found for job sharing work and employment opportunities.
Our Services allow you to look for professional matches to connect with, pair with, and together explore job sharing opportunities. We will use data about you (such as your profile) to help you find professional matches with similar and/or commentary skills, or for others to find your profile. To do so, you will connect with the professionals who you choose as potential job mates, and who also wish to connect with you. When you connect with other Members as potential job mates, you will be able to see and explore each other’s profiles and contact information.
It is your choice whether to send a connection request to other members or allow another Member to become your connection. When you invite someone to connect with you, your invitation will include your first name, photo, and your profile. Your full name and contact information will only be visible when both of you have mutually agreed to be connected as potential job mates.
Our matching capability will use you profile information to find and recommend potential job mates and job sharing positions.
We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual without restriction.
We may also disclose your personal information:
Our Services allow you to explore job sharing opportunities, evaluate opportunities, and seek out, and be found for, job sharing opportunities. Your profile can be found by Recruiters and Employers for a job sharing position, or be hired by you. We will use your data to recommend jobs or job mates, show you and others who work at a company, in an industry, or have certain expertise and specialty. Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through our Services.
Our Services allow you to collaborate with potential job mates to prepare for job sharing opportunities as a pair and search for potential jobs. Our Services allow you to communicate with other Members and schedule and prepare meetings with them. As job mates, you will be able to use our tools and templates to develop a job sharing proposal to be submitted to your employer.
Our premium Services for recruiters and employers (“premium members”) allow paying users to search for job mates (pairs of candidates) and contact them through our Services.
We sell premium Services that provide our premium members customized-search functionality and tools (including messaging) as part of our services. Premium members can export limited information from your profile, such as first names for job mates, current jobs, current titles, and general location (e.g., city and state). We do not provide contact information to premium members as part of these premium Services without your consent.
We contact you and enable communications between you and other Members. We will contact you through email, mobile phone, notices posted on our websites, and other ways through our Services, including text messages and push notifications. We will send you messages about the availability of our Services, security, legal notices, or other service-related issues. We also send you notifications when you have a request for connection from other members.
We promote our Services to you and others. We use data and content about Members for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement and our Services.
We use data to help you and fix problems. We use the data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs).
We use your data to produce and share aggregated insights that do not identify you. For example, we may use your data to generate statistics about our members, their profession or industry, or to publish visitor demographics for a Service or demographic workforce insights.
Your profile, except your full name, contact information, resume if it is uploaded, and link to your LinkedIn profile if made available, is fully visible to those Members of our Service with whom you have matched. Your full name, contact information, resume if it is uploaded, and link to your LinkedIn profile if provided, will be visible to other members only after you both have mutually agreed to connect. No part of your profile is visible to visitors.
We may use others to help us provide our Services (e.g., web hosting, phone number verification, maintenance, payment systems). They will have access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
We may need to share your data when we believe it’s required by law or to help protect the rights and safety of you, us or others. It is possible that we will need to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) enforce our agreements with you, (3) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, (4) protect the security or integrity of our Service (such as by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or (5) exercise or protect the rights and safety of Job Pairing, our Members, personnel, or others. We attempt to notify Members about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge every demand.
We retain your personal data while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services. Even if you only use our Services when looking for a new job mate every few years, we will retain your information and keep your profile open until you decide to close your account.
You can access, change or delete your personal data. You can deactivate your account to keep your profile but not use your profile data in our matching process. You can also completely cancel your account to remove your entire profile. For personal data that we have about you:
Delete Data: You can ask us to erase or delete all or some of your personal data (e.g., if it is no longer necessary to provide Services to you).
Change or Correct Data: You can edit some of your personal data through your account. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.
Deactivate or Restrict Use of Data: You can ask us to stop using your profile data in our matching process (e.g., if you have already found a job mate and are employed as a pair).
Right to Access and/or Take Your Data: You can ask us for a copy of your personal data and can ask for a copy of personal data you provided in machine readable form.
If you choose to close your Job Pairing account, your profile data will generally stop being visible to other members on our Services within 24 hours. We generally delete closed account information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
We retain your profile data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our User Agreement.
We monitor for and try to prevent security breaches. Please use the security features available through our Services. We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS or encryption. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.
